the
cardigan is knit in one piece, from the bottom up, starting with the
back. it is worked in garter stitch.
co
46 sts and knit in garter stitch. when work measures about 14 cm from
cast on edge, co 30 sts on each side for the sleeves. knit all
stitches. when sleeves measure 7,5 cm in height, knit back neckline
:: knit 42 sts, bo 22 sts, knit 42 sts. from now on, left and right
sides are worked separately.
starting
in the middle (neckline), knit 1 st, k2tog, knit 39 sts. knit 3 rows.
for the neckline shaping, work as follows :: on the neckline side
(every second row), *knit 1 st, inc 1 st, knit all remaining
stitches. knit 1 row.* repeat from * to * until sleeves measure 15
cm. bo 30 sts and knit on with the remaining stitches, sticking to
the pattern as described above (from * to *), until there are 46 sts
on your needles. without increasing, knit as many rows as needed for
an equal amount of rows underneath the sleeves on front and back.
bind off.
for
the other side knit mirrored. sew together and weave in ends.
crochet
a small loop (chain stitch) on the right inside seam of the cardigan
and sew a button near the left front seam. crochet two small loops on
the left outside seam of the cardigan and position two buttons along
the right front seam.
